Well, you see, when an attempt is made to inject some modicum of mystery into a conversation, and words are used to convey an idea that seem to be intended to lead the listener to believe something other than those words directly infer, we call the result "cryptic".
But I suspect the explanation you wanted is somehow different, since you probably have a dictionary.
