Percy's new favorite game is to jump up onto the piano keys on his way to the top of the piano.

He has done this perhaps 20 times since I got home from work an hour ago, at 9:30.

... but Newfoundland, it seems, is getting pounded.

... and I don't feel so good myself.

TV subtitles often include an ad for the company sponsoring them right before the end of the show.

This evening's episode of ER ended with a Very Dramatic Moment and a Ford slogan, both made ridiculous by proximity.

The slogan was "Every day someone makes a bold move" ... and it flashed onscreen just as one character shot her loser husband.

Okay. I grew up saying kitty-corner, as did Sol.

Sol's reading a book called The Hundred-Yard War, in which the author specifically cites saying "catty-corner" as a Michigan thing. Since we were both raised in Michigan (albeit by 75% Kentucky/Ohio parents) and neither of us says it, I thought I'd ask around.

Do you say "kitty-corner," "catty-corner," or "cater-corner" (or -cornered for any of those) to mean on the diagonal?
