Nothing of substance.

Here's the drill (and no, I didn't see this anywhere; I'm just curious to know):

Just put down 5 songs that make you cry and describe briefly why they make you tear up, you sissies.

Ok, maybe not cry outright, but ones that make you sad and maybe a little choked up.

My 5 songs

Peter Gabriel - I Grieve: It's just so raw in its emotion without ( Read more... )

cry, question, songs

Yes, that's kind of the point. Not the crying, the explanations. That's the whole point.

1. eric clapton - tears in heaven: same reasons you already mentioned.

2. bob dylan - knocking on heaven's door: sad song in general. reminds me of nate's funeral on 'six feet under', during which i curled up on my couch and cried like my heart would break for an entire hour.

3. olive - smile: i can't really explain why...it's just impossibly sad to me for some reason.

4. lynryd skynyrd - free bird: my cousin played it during my uncle's funeral which was pretty much the saddest spectacle i've ever seen. plus they played it at the end of 'the devil's rejects' when they all get killed. super sad.

5. any lullaby song or music box tune: they make me impossibly sad. childhood issues, i guess.

Nate's funeral was so goddamn sad. Every time I hear All Apologies my chest tenses up. I miss SFU. :-(

and the last scene of the series where claire's driving to NY and they show how everyone dies is probably the saddest thing i've ever seen in my life...i cried for, like, the entire night after that ep...i miss sfu too, and i kind've hate the way they ended the series like that, like, robbing us of our right to imagine out happy endings for all the characters, ya know? *sigh* ah well.

Actually, I'm pretty happy with the ending. I'm pretty rententive about a lot of things and I like the fact that I get to know what happens. It feels like a secret I know about the Fishers even though millions of people watched the finale.
