That's total shit Jen! I think it's time you found a new job, where they don't accuse you of stealing.

Do they count down the registers between shifts? If not they should be checking into all the people there in the earlier part of the day. Also, if any management was in there they would have access to the money. Lastly, if there is some sort of funds in the drawer at the start of day people could have been messing with it yet from the night before. So unless you and the other guy were all alone with it all day and no one else had access except you two then there are others it could be. They should check it before they accuse you.

PS I don't know your manager that accused you, but sometimes people point fingers when they want the blame to be away from them. One word for you: Embezzlement. But really, I would look into who would've had access to the money.

its weird there were 2 other people on also i think she wrote up the manager also but when she called me over yesterday she said she can lay her life down on the line that it wasnt me. and she said she would trust me with her kids lives or something like that and she said she knows im a good worker. but she didnt write me up she just gave me a written oral statement (makes no sense but thats what it is) just saying cash was short when i was working. she said she did it because she likes to keep track of everything thats happening. this happens all the time though at least twice a week they come up short. but if this shit happens again im out...i have been there for 3 years, (i told her this as well) never got in trouble, never a write up, never took a penny, cash was never even short by more then 4 or 5 bucks when i was on shift. its bullshit that innocent people get in trouble

The person doing the write ups could be tied by protocol. If she has to write up anyone on shift it may not be you. She may be pretty sure that it is one of the others or the manager but by the books had to tell you what she did?
