When I make Ramen Noodles, I break the block into 4 pieces and put it in the water. I add about 1/4 of the packet and drain the water out and eat just the noodles. When I have frozen peas I put them in too when the water is boiling. I like lots of pepper in it too.
I usually start by putting the whole thing into the boiling water. Then I get distracted, walk away from the stove and Lisa finishes them up for me. Then I am rightfully chided for not finishing what I start. I'm not really sure what happens to them after they get put in the boiling water. You'd have to ask Lisa about that. ;)
Otherwise, I do the cup o' noodles thing and heat up the water in the microwave in the styrofoam cup. I know, I'm going to die of cancer or something. Save it for someone who cares. =)

yvie 1023: i'm not your kitchen bitch. TMeijome: lol, I know TMeijome: I just thought it was funny because you yelled at me when I walked away from the stove that one time. ;P
You didn't have to finish them for me. yvie 1023: one time? TMeijome: Twice? yvie 1023: twice? TMeijome: I get distracted. Leave me alone! heh TMeijome: I need a radio or something in the kitchen. yvie 1023: THERE WAS! TMeijome: Or other people. Cooking by myself makes me bored.
Men Have Short Attention Spans... But Only When It Comes To Cooking
When I get my ramen on, especially when I'm really hungry, I like to make two packets. I leave the blocks whole because I love the noodles long and slurpy. I don't add the flavor packets until after I dump out all (or as much as I can) of the water, so it's just flavored noodles.
Sometimes though, when I'm in a hurry I'm pouring the boiling water out and I burn my hand. At this time I jump and ALL the noodles slosh out into the sink. They fall into the side witht he garbage disposal and are completely gone down the drain before I know what's happening.
I leave the block whole, the boil it and dump out all the water and run cold water on them and then put on sesame oil and rice vinegar. Yum, cold noodles.
You weren't kidding... everyone really does do Ramen differently. :D

Her boyfriend Terry, eats it dry with the packet sprinkled on top.
Her brother in law eats it with no liquid, and with chili on top.
