Hmmmm...I smell a satirical spin-off. This reader thanks the author for some inspiration.
"Nobody has a sense of self-respect any more," said John Hall, 15, of Weston, FL. "People listen to hype bands, worship them for about a month, then move on and avidly deny ever having liked them." "NO!" responded a My Chemical Romance fan (name withheld). "M.C.R. is really artistic. They have some of the deepest, most moving lyrics ever." Further inspection revealed that this fan once was a devout lover of N'Sync.
This just in! In the time it took me to type that last sentence, the same fan (name still withheld to protect him/her from a lynching mob formed of people with taste) has since discarded all of his/her M.C.R. CD's in place of Green Day's newest album. Similar instances are being called in all across the nation in the same age group.
