I just bought my plane ticket for my very first trip ever to California. I am so excited right now! I didn't leave myself much time to look around, but I still can't wait. I just got my first jury summons, and I'm actually sort of excited about it. Besides the obvious getting me out of a day of work, I'm interested to see what really goes on in the legal system. If I get selected for a real trial, I really don't mind. It might even be kinda cool.

This vacation has been awesome so far. Perfect beach weather (although storms are expected today), adorable apartment, great location, and today Libby and I went kayaking with dolphins. They were almost close enough to touch at one point. We got to see a calf with its mother and a couple mating. We're now at the library for our first contact ( Read more... )

At very, very long last, my car is now insured, inspected, registered, and titled in my name in the District of Columbia. All this nine months after I moved here. Procrastination much? I'm finally settled in... and thinking about moving again.

BTW, I seem to have a remarkable affinity for the number 7. It's popping up everywhere. Go figure.
