There's nothing really wrong with Will. I took him to the doctor yesterday, and he's fine. Just a cold. But he does have a crazy bad diaper rash that the doc said we should treat with yeast infection stuff. (Again.) The body rash, the doc said, is a viral rash that will go away on its own. Will had a particularly bad night last night. He's got a rash, a runny nose, and a cough, and he was up over night 4 or more times. I think I lost count. Anyway, I finally just got up with him and was up from about 4 a.m. on. Of course, he fell asleep in the car on the way to drop Aric at work, but he woke up once we got home. This lady with about five kids in tow just walked by our house, and two of the kids picked up rocks and started throwing them at our house. The lady just kept walking. My favorite time of the day is when Will is getting ready for bed, because no matter how hard a day we've had, his sleepy-time routine is always pretty good. Especially lately. Will has been driving me up the wall today (and yesterday). I have to remember he's only a kid, and he doesn't understand what's going on. Aric let Will have a jewel case earlier this morning that had a CD in it that he'd used to transport files. Will is in love with both the jewel case and the CD. He keeps licking the CD experimentally and has even managed to put the tip of his tongue into the center hole of the CD. Last night I started rereading 2 Henry IV. I am always amazed at how much I forget when I read. I suppose, too, that I am reading with new eyes (as a parent) because Northumberland's speech at the beginning of Act 1, when he talks about losing his son really got to me.
