Writing "I'm spent" made me think of going to bed in my luxurious new bed. Yeah, Aric and I upgraded this weekend to a king-sized bed. I'm on track to be able to turn in my chapter to Dr. Block tomorrow -- maybe even tonight. If Will cooperates and goes to bed without incident, then I'll have a good hunk of time to work on my edits tonight. History plays
Yeah!! I get to lecture on 14th-15th century history today in my class, so my students can get a handle on the history plays that we'll be looking at. In class, we're reading Henry IV part 1 and Henry V, but we're going to have an extra credit reading of Henry IV part 2, as well. So that'll be fun. Class
Class was pretty good today. We talked more about Titus, and it seems like people are pretty into the play. I hope they feel similar attraction to the history plays, since they are my favorites!! Man, I forgot what a gory little tale Titus is. Well, no. I didn't forget. But I am still surprised, nonetheless -- I'm surprised at my surprise, I guess. I keep wondering what the students will make of it, and I hope they are not turned off by it. I wanted to use it to get them drawn into Shakespeare, not repulse them. Whilst I have a moment
Will is taking a nap, but he'll be up soon. Galya said he went down at about 12:15, so he's already been out for an hour and 15 minutes. Whew... that's the way to come home from work, eh? Anyway...
