layers on layers and layers

I painted a heart in a shade of red that looked almost bloody. I didn’t like it, so I mixed more red, and painted another, same. Wash, rinse, repeat. I kept on panting them, almost abstractly, all in different shades of red, until the entire canvas was covered with red and none of them looked like hearts, rather layers and layers of shapes, all

no! Just it was me trying to make them look not bloddy, nad in the end they looked almost beautiful?
