Glad you enjoyed the last Radiant....the whole "turtle shell" thing was awesome, hilarious that you just stood in awe while Dave slapped her and then struck her down. OMG, the look on your face was priceless when you suddenly realized "Oh crap! I'm supposed to protect her!!" House Ivory Turtle was awesome, you and Beth really played awesome characters.

As for Aralis, the meeting/tea was awesome. I look forward to where it will be taken from here, especially with the fact that Phoenix didn't go through the "oh, let me help you andbythewayillbebenefittinggreatlyfromyoumwahahaha" gate made by 19. I am looking forward to the next session greatly! Hopefully you're feeling better by then, but feel free to come into the warm Garandi tent at any time!

You just enjoy torturing me in various games don't you! Admit it!

I thought the tea went really well too. I'm glad you had a good time.

Personally I didn't care so much about the gate. The method of travel didn't mean much to me IG (I remember at the time there was talk of putting together a different kind of gate?). Boons and the like from 19 though were considerably more sketchy in my eyes. Even so, I would have gone to help people out, but like I said jjmarika did a good job RPing me down. In part she made that decision based on our reports of what went down, since she hadn't been there for the first attempt, and the actions of other people in terms of going, not going, trying to persuade her to go, etc.

I find it...unlikely that I would go to the warm Garandi tent. Not impossible!...but unlikely. I hope to feel better too. I've been at LARPs when sick, but loading up on medicine/pills to get through a session isn't super fun. I really hope it's not too cold.

Be well.

Avatar is amazing. The depth of political and character complexity in that show was NOT what I expected when told it was a Nickelodeon cartoon. Iroh just keeps getting cooler, too. So good.

The Dragon of the West ROCKS the house. I hear season 3 isn't as good as the first two...but I must see how it all ends!

Be well.

I actually disagree; I think S3 is perfectly in keeping with the first two in terms of excellence. I mean, it's necessarily less light and fluffy, as the epicness level keeps getting ratcheted up, but I disagree with the feelings of others that there is less character development. I'm really quite fond of the climax, all things considered.

Later on I did Corey's module in which I felt real bad for various head and crotch shots. Of course I sustained some myself over the weekend, but that doesn't justify it. In part it was because of the numbers and fighting so many people in such close quarters.

Part of that was my fault... when Father Merrick (Corey's NPC) said Rowan could take up to 15, she wanted to make sure she didn't die in her last step to come out from under the Tower and brought 15 of her closest thuggers. Had I known what the NPC ratio was going to be, she probably would have brought 7 of her favorite thuggers.
:o)

Still I thought it went decently well.

You... people... broke... Rowan's... brain...

So awesome! :o)

Hey don't worry about it. If you can take that many you should! Besides for the final push we were pretty heavily jacked up in stats. You had a good group in terms of melee, casting, and healing.

Brains being broken is all part of the job. Cory ran a good plot it seems! :D

Be well.

It really helped us that every healer in there also had some form of offensive spell. We could all take turns healing and still snipe with casting fire from the back.

Brains being broken is all part of the job. Cory ran a good plot it seems! :D

Corey rocked... the plot rocked... MADRIGAL rocks...

Whee!

:o)

My expectation is that Shyamalan is going to make a travesty of it. Everything he's done since 6th Sense has been getting progressively more rediculous.

I saw very little of you unless you were just beating the crap out of me. Sadly, mages aren't so squishy any more. They want to make me have stats, fine, I'll have stats. 9 Vitality at night (including High Born armor), thank you very much.

I need to work on my single sword skills, I think. I'm getting schooled to hard by awesome people like you and I don't like it. :)

As a suggestion, from another caster with a single sword, concentrate on blocking. A lot. You'd be amazed how pissed off NPCs get with you if you can block two or three hits while casting with your free hand. (I'm going to regret this at some point I'm sure.) Don't think of it as an offensive weapon at all unless you are *completely* out of spells. And yes, I've hit that point several times. It's sad.

You're still kicking my ass, so I don't see what you're complaining about :)

9 vitality for a caster is h00j! I wasn't really getting a ton of shots in on you, but I remember being surprised you weren't going down to a 5.

Your single swording was fine, though I think you close, hose, and don't withdraw fast enough. I have a tendency to do the same thing when doing a single blade because my fencing instincts want me to leave the blade there to emphasize that I got the touch, or do another parry/beat-cut. By the way, using Death by Will on a crunchie was way stylin'. :D

Be well.
