I'm doing better! I have finally healed enough to be back on my anxiety meds *wry* which is why I've been away for so long. Well, that, and I spent Nov/Dec incredibly busy.
I wish LJ wasn't so buggy, otherwise I would have actually posted sooner, oops.
No, I posted all of them to AO3, but not really anywhere else. I need to catch up my LJ with them. The links should work though.
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes ♥♥♥ You're the best!!!
So I'm ignoring all your self-reflection to ask about the workflow, since you record-edit-record. How do you keep the same tone/cadence/voice across recording sessions? Listening to my own podfics, it's like no two sound the same and I forever struggle with rerecording lines in later sessions when I screw up. WHAT IS THE SECRET? I feel like I missed that particular tutorial when I started podficcing.
To tell you the truth I try to keep the same tone? but it doesn't always work.
I try to divide longer podfics into natural breaks, so the difference in vocal inflections won't matter.
If I have to rerecord lines, I do it and then change the pitch so it'll match the original. Most of the time I try to have a solid idea of what inflections I want to do, so then it doesn't matter later about cadence. If you try to have a solid rhythm in mind for the whole thing, then the only thing you have to worry about is pitch, and that's easy enough to alter in editing.
Also, one of the reasons I put music in breaks is to smooth that transition a bit.

I didn't make an entry because I wasn't sure if you were still reading your LJ.
