[poem in your pocket 2007]

today is poem in your pocket day in new york, part of national poetry month. people have been posting poetry all month (which is awesome), but i pretty much only remember to do it on this day.

this year i am -still- not posting "marginalia". instead, i'm going with ee cummings. i spent two weeks last year looking for poems for art_geek & archie's wedding. in ( Read more... )

My favorite e.e. cummings poem ever. This one and Yeats's When You Are Old and Shakespeare's Sonnet 130 (My Mistress' eyes...) invariably make me sniffly simply by their depth of feeling. So lovely.
