I'm trying to take more photos. I know I'd just fail at a photo a day, but having the iphone means that I'm at least at least carrying something that CAN take photos.

I've been reading Amy's Eyes. I remember other people reading this book when I was a kid, but I never did for some reason. Currently it's an odd mix of Animal Farm, The Bible Code, Patrick O'Brien's novels, and Mother Goose.

First day quilt lessons over. Woo! It went well.

Totally ravenous lately. Forgot that working at school makes me so. Made baguette pizzas. Mmmm.

Was going to attend the invite-only intro to the Oxford Swing Society tonight, but I'm going to stay home and chill. Last night was late, and I'm playing badminton again tomorrow.

I've been good at keeping myself busy today. Ever mindful of the nasty moths, I began washing the Zwartbles sheep fleece today. Holy crap, that thing is big! I laid it out to skirt it (take out the nasty sheep-poo bits) and thankfully it was pretty well skirted already, I only had to get rid of a little bit. It is once again the end of another term, and I am once again startled by it, and by the fact that all communication from me falls by the wayside during terms. Our school has its first case of swine flu, mere hours before the Year 4 residential is set to leave for Devon. (I'm going on this residential with fifty-ish children and four other adults.) I really love running a creative curriculum program for Years 3 and 4 (one hour a week) but I keep feeling like I'm failing on the planning front. I've only just remembered that they're tye-dying on Thursday (well, they're tying in preparation for the dying) and I've got no fabric for them to work on.
