this seems like a skeptical premise.... but I'm really excited for it as it has some GOOD people involved:

Jeanine Tesore is doing the music.  She's AWESOME.

And the cast includes Brian d'Arcy James (Shrek), Sutton Foster (Fiona), John Tartaglia (Pinnochio - I wonder if he'll actually BE Pinnochio or if he'll be operating a puppet and voicing it),

i think Lord Farquad was played by that guy from 3rd Rock from the Sun... John Lithgow?... pretty sure rupert everett was the villian from the second one... the son of the fairy god mother... the god mother played by the chick from ab fab who sang the greatest version of "i need a hero" in the second shrek...

OH SNAP! you're totally right, I'm mixing up my Shreks. OH man! They should have tried to get John Lithgow, then! I saw him in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and he kicked assss. but he's super tall, so he'd be towering over shrek which wouldn't really work LOL.
