Back in the US

It's fantastic to be back in the States, again. And also to have a couple of days off to just chill for a bit and see some friends -- I flew into LAX last night to meet up with Willa... baby girl's like a freaking little sister to me. I adore her honesty and her vibe, it's really hard for me to find women that I click with besides, you know,

*pulls up to the front of the club, taking one last glance at herself in the mirror, reaches over to the passenger seat for her purse, opening the door and getting out, receiving her ticket from the valet person, watches as her car is driven away before heading inside the club*

*is taken to the VIP area immediately, sits down at the table setting her purse in front of her and waits, studying the area*

*gets out of her car in the back alley by the club, gets ushered into the back entrance by bodyguards*

*sweeps into the VIP area as attendants pull the velvet curtains aside and takes off her hat dramatically*

*in a high-pitched tone:*

WILLAAAAAAA!

*opens arms*

*grins as she stands up from her seat, rushing over to you and embracing you in a hug, swaying from side to side*

*pulls away from the hug for a minute to look you over, quickly embracing you again, laughing* OH MY GOD YOU LOOK SO GOOD!!!

*envelops you in her arms*

*laughs*

Girlfriend you are positively RADIANT. *pulls you by the hand to a corner table and sits down*

*calls to a waiter* Alex! A bottle of Moet, please!

*looks at you and grins* It's been waaaayyyy too long to not order champagne tonight!

*listens to you, brow furrowed and nodding slightly*

*sighs lightly and starts playing with a piece of her hair* I always loved that about you, Wil - you always give people the benefit of the doubt, no matter what common knowledge dictates. But, I mean... is he gonna treat you right?

[willa_ford]

*smiles slightly at your compliment to her, still looking down as she plays with the candle on the table*

*looks up at you* So far he's treated me right. He's a good guy. You know? But I've been thinking about it... about us, lately and I just don't think that he has the time for me.

*takes another sip from her glass, sighing as she looks around the room at the people looking back at them*

*nods again at the waiter who refreshes our glasses from the bottle in a silver bucket on the table*

*takes a slow sip* no time? then, move on, baby... life's too short not to have time for someone as amazing as you. you know it's true.

*watches you for a second before asking the next question*

*a little softer* and... how are things with Marshall?

[willa_ford]

*smiles at you* I just love how you are so understanding. And as for moving on, I might be doing so as we speak. These past couple of days have been something else. I can't even explain. I am just so happy. This person makes my day, week, month, year. I can't stop thinking about them, it's driving me mad. I don't know. God.

*covers her face as she leans over, resting her elbows on the table* And yet, I am so comfortable around them. *looks back at you* There's something very familiar about it all.

*bites her bottom lip as the question about Marshall arises, smiling somewhat sarcastically* Not good. Not good at all. But you know, I'm over it. Honestly. And I am never turning back. It's for the best, you know?

*looks up in surprise as the waiter places two elaborately created shots on the table in front of us, complete with whipped cream*

*laughs* I think we have some admirers! *nods towards a table of well-dressed young men across the room*

*picks up her shot and raises it towards them before clinking glasses with you*

too bad they're not really good looking. *raises glass to her mouth*

*bursts out laughing at your comment as she downs the shot with one drink, setting the glass back on the table, clutches her throat afterwards* Oh my God what was that!

*clears her throat* Anyway... *turns back to look at you* Not really good looking eh? So tell me, who do you find good looking Miss Mariah? *smirks slightly*

*smiles as she takes the shot back*

ugh. cinnamon.

*starts to feel warm from the shot and champagne*

*sighs* oh Willa. if only we all had the problems that you do - so many men, and so little time.

*pauses* you know what I just realized? that I haven't really seen anyone seriously since Marshall. *rolls her eyes and takes another drink of champagne*

*laughs, sipping at her champagne, beginning to feel a little tipsy* I hate my problems. They come at the most inconvienient times.

*looks at you somewhat surprised* Really? Why is that?
