È uno strano paesaggio quello che vede dall’alto; spirali di colore si avvolgono l’una sull’altra, blu e verde, bianco e azzurro. Gli ricordano qualcosa, anche se non sa bene cosa sia. La sfera galleggia nel nero, appena sotto di lui, e la sua rotondità gli riporta alla mente altre memorie di un tempo lontano.
«Boing» commenta. «Boing boing.» Non sa perché, ma di quelle sfere preferirebbe vederne due. Due appaiate, magari; l’una vicina all’altra, per la precisione, avvolte da una cosa ben precisa.
«Biancheria intima.»
Dall’alto della sua astronave osserva ancora la Terra sospesa nel vuoto.
«Mame vorrebbe tornare» dice.

After a few months living together, Leo’s completely lost any hope of ever being able to act like a normal human being instead of an animal around Cody. It’s scary if he thinks about it, because up until before Blaine they were the closest of friends and there was never any violence between them. On the contrary, they were kind to one another, warm, and their relationship didn’t have any of the frighteningly intense undertones it carries now. There was no rage, no desire.
