Awww I was just about to go to bed, but I saw your update and I just couldn't resist to read this now :)

this is soooo cute and kind of sad at the same time. I really feel for Dan, he really had a rough time, without parents, not being able to become a professional footballer, his feelings for Fernando, thinking that he doesn't love him back. But in the end it seems he get what he deserves which is obviously Fernando :)

I love the little detail that their first kiss after they met again isn't perfect at all, it's sweet and somehow fitting to their whole relationship :) well they have their perfect first kiss later on, so it seems it always takes them a bit longer to get what they want, the way they want it ;) well but better late than never, I guess?

And I'm happy you made Fernando a Liverpool player, it definitely fits better that way ;)

Yeah, Dan hasn't had it easy, having to deal with something like that :-( The way he feels his life is ruined because he can never be a professional footballer, and when he sees Fernando living the dream. And that he's never really gotten over his first love, even if they never really did anything.

Ah, glad you liked the kiss :-) It certainly wasn't perfect, a bit unexpected and nervous, but yes; afterwards they share something much better :-) It definitely took them some time to get what they wanted, but this is the start of something beautiful, I'm sure ;-)
