went to a very organized H1N1 clinic yesterday in Fairfax with thousands of other people. due to the organization and volunteers I got in and out in 40 minutes which was Awesome! So I feel more protected against the kiddos with the germs ( Read more... ) -

bummed. I'm sick again. Thankful its not the flu but definitely not feeling good. Slept in a chair last night because I felt like I couldn't breath because of congestion. Very frustrated and trying to come up with ways to boost immunity. I've missed 4 days, two last month, two this month that's a lot for one quarter. I usually get sick once in the ( Read more... ) -

It's funny that when I finally post after waiting a couple weeks to have interesting things to say...I start drawing a blank. Had my first grad class back, started integrating drama into my classroom in some instances. Tried an activity with 3rd graders...it totally didn't feel like a usual art class it was 45 minutes of pantomiming emotions with ( Read more... ) -

1st week back under my belt. I've got a room with walls and a door this year!!! very exciting. I actually know a lot of the kids names this year...kids I had first year in 4th grade are now big 6th graders. Busy weekend. Friday was the rehearsal/dinner in Mt. Holly Springs for my friend/ex-roomie from college's wedding. Got up early Saturday, Paul dropped me off at her house, we had hair appointments, lunch and then back to the church to get ready. Busy week ahead. I've got some downtime to bother somebody in PA for a couple days. My quest for cute silver shoes has ended so it doesn't have to trouble my mind any longer! Had a nice weekend. Went bridesmaid dress shopping with my roomie from school (the bride)...my car is in the shop so she came down here. They didn't have my size in the style of the others but we picked out a nice dress in the same color. Also went and saw UP with Paul. Better News....
My principal talked to HR and came back with an offer of 5 days a week, 100% art job for me next year!!!! So I emailed him back and said my professional response after 2 years and lots of schools was "YES YES YES! And thank you!" :) So I'm super excited and relieved that it was figured out before school ended. -
UPDATE :)
I was accepted to a grad school program for teachers at GMU and start classes this summer!!!! I start in July!
Also...I accepted a 4 day job from one of my principals.
