Youch :(

I twisted my ankle about a month ago. For one night I was in excruciating pain. I had a cold pack on it and I was sobbing because it was so painful. I took some motrin and only after it began to set in did I start to relax. Did you take any anti-inflamatory pain killer yet? Otherwise, elevating it was all I could do. I was so happy when I woke up the next day and could walk on it again (though slowly.)

I took some ibuprofen and went ahead and kept my leg elevated most of the night. This morning my ankle felt better but my knee feels the same. It's very painful but not swollen, so I'm taking this as a good sign. We decided that if it doesn't get any better over the next couple of days, I should go to the doctor and see if I might have done more damage than we suspect at this point.

It was a really stupid thing to do. I should have known better than to follow Ionel down that hill. He had on good, solid, rubber bottom shoes, whereas, I was wearing foam beach slippers with no traction at all.
