Wow... it's been a while...

I've been so busy lately, and there's no end in sight. Just started a new school term. Until now I've been working part time and going to school part time by paying for each class out of pocket. Ionel and I decided that at this rate I'll never finish, never mind that I have to move on to a PhD when I'm done (not of my own free will, mind you, ( Read more... )

Glad you're back in the swing of things. What's your major, btw?

So, your mother in law will be there for a month and a half, huh? Hope you get along well. ;-)

MIL and I get along fine. Luckily. :o)
My major is Neuropsychology. Unless I want to get stuck being an assistant somewhere, or doing counselling work, I have to get a PhD. Without it, I can't get a license, nor any interesting research jobs. So, I'm on that path. I don't mind, really. I like to complain about it, but secretly, I like school. :o)

Wow! You've got a lot on your plate and it seems as though you have the ambition to match it. I admire people like yourself, who find a passion and go for it. Myself . . . well . . . I'm very happy being nobody and just taking care of my family and working a part-time job at the bank. Sometimes I feel like I should want to do more when I see that there are others, like yourself, who are aspiring for so much more than I have the energy for (or desire, for that matter). What an inspiration you are to so many people to work towards such a worthwhile goal! It doesn't make me want to go out and go to school, but it does make me want to work a little harder at what I already do! :o)

Aw, geez, you're making me blush!

Don't sell yourself short, dear M., you're hardly "nobody". Different things appeal to different people for different reasons. We all have different priorities. You work, you take care of the household, and you're a terrific mom; I can't believe you have time to do all that delicious baking on top of it all! Your plate is just as full as anyone elses. :o)
