На чем только деток не возили- больше всего популярны были пони, козочки и собаки, детей победнее возили на осликах.
Детям специально делали ездовые коляски и повозочки, по качеству и отделке они порой не отличались от взрослых.

Ostrich cart rides for children helped pay for the animals' upkeep at zoos in the early 20th century. This photo is from 1929.

And here's a pig cart from 1910, clearly a banner year for exotic kids' draught animals.

This young lion in an American zoo (circa 1930) is pulling a cart with young children in. Once it is fully grown, it would not be safe to harness a lion to give cart rides to children.

Ну и наконец вот такое, прислала la_gatta_ciara -большое спасибо!

Здесь даже не столько крокодил пугает, а как девочка сидит, впрочем, очень многие фото вызывают аналогичные вопросы- на повозках минимум бортиков и ограждений, иногда их нет совсем, упасть и разбиться, если что- можно очень сильно.
