Hello, dear friends! I've been scarce lately but things have been very exciting! I'm getting geared up again for fiction writing-- yes. Oooooh, a turn-around! I can die now. And there's no way in HELL I would have taken your way down the hill. Not with my fear of heights and general clumsiness! Beautiful town, though, ya'll looked like you had a great time.

True confessions time: I didn't go down that way, either. It was a sheer cliff. What I did was scramble up there, lean against the cliff, and pretend I was climbing (falling). Maggie was standing on the road right next to me and snapped the picture.

But we did have a great time. That much is true. Cheers!

OMG, that route down the hill approaches Jim Kirk levels of insane daring.

The last shot is indeed very pretty and makes me long for the Mediterranean... which is not where it's taken, I know, but is where I last saw similar landscapes and lighting. Thanks for sharing this outtakes from your recent adventures. :D

People often mistake me for Jim Kirk. I think it's the devil-may-care twinkle in my eye. And I sort of look like Kirk... if he looked way less like Kirk and lot more like me.

Thank goodness for digital cameras, they let you keep snapping until something turns out. I took about 20 moon shots; it was mesmerizing.

Much ♥ to the both of you. Seems you're having loads of fun even in this possibly less than illustrious spot...

LESS THAN ILLUSTRIOUS? They have a bar! A seafood bar! Where seafood is defined as "fish tacos." I think they are on the leading edge of illustrious; it's just the rest of the world hasn't caught up yet.

Although the view of the Continental Divide does make the valley stunning. It's so hard to capture -- I need you here to photo it properly. You got the atmospheric shots down. :)

Laughing my head off!

Does the local bar make a Mariole on the Rocks?

I love it. They absolutely should. Maggie is trying to make one up now:
Tequila
tomato juice (for blood)
picante sauce (for spunk)
seltzer water

...I think I know why they don't serve this drink here....
