Hello, dear friends! I've been scarce lately but things have been very exciting! I'm getting geared up again for fiction writing-- yes. And also for reviving my home business, because apparently I'm unable to work in an office without turning into a crabby flabby sad-sack. Instead, I'm cackling with evil laughter over being able to escape to the ( Read more... )

Something Mariole failed to tell you. We actually had the amazing experience of turning around in the Turn-around! Unfortunately this was not captured on film but was witnessed by some on the local turn-around inhabitants.

I can now die content knowing that I have experienced life to the fullest.

And with me driving, Maggie almost does die, regularly! Fortunately, she has very bad short-term memory, because I hit her with a rock shortly after endangering her life, so she always forgets. Therefore, she is still my traveling companion. Hey-lah!

Oh my... I now feel that my area is quite impoverished for not having its own turn-around. People just... drive through... Shiftless, the lot of them.

Well, Canadians are like that. Too freaking lazy and shiftless to build their own turn-arounds. And knowing them, they wouldn't even shovel it out when the snow got to be over 8 feet deep.

Come down here anytime. I believe the turn-around is open year-round!

You are so funny. Why is it that anywhere you go to you manage to bring out the 'fun' parts so well? I think it's just you guys...can't wait to visit the party town Salida. Oh we don't have a turn around here in Vernal BUT we have a roundabout....pretty cool huh?

*sigh* Poor Vernal, one of the many millions of towns doomed to suffer from no turn-around. You must come to Salida someday-- you have probably already seen it, haven't you? It's got that Taos feeling of a growing art town. Small, but happenin'. I think you'd like it!

Aren't they stunning? You can't look at the Continental Divide and be depressed. The valley is so wide and very beautiful. I love _all_ mountains. Norway is spectacular as well. I can never see too many mountains.
