First, the sad news...

My black cat Bingley disappeared two days before Thanksgiving, and has not returned. At first, I assumed he got caught in a garage; that's what had happened the last time he went missing for 24 hours. That was a bad day; I automatically assumed he'd been eaten by a coyote and felt just terrible. Then, 24 hours later exactly, I hear this jingle ( Read more... )

Aww, Mariole, how distressing! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Bingley's still holding on to several of his nine lives and will return to you and Knightley (and a new cat?) soon, after adventures around town.
*hugs*

I hope so, too. Each cat is such a unique personality, and Bingley was quite the personality! I miss him a lot and hope he comes home.

My heart goes out to you hon. I have three cats and I know how it feels to be in your place.

I hope he comes home.

However, kudos for the Austen inspired cat names. <3

Thanks. The names are a blatant attempt to manipulate my mother into liking my cats-- she's not a pet person. It works like a charm. When I told her my new cat's name, she cried, "Oh, I love him already!" :)

Keeping my fingers crossed-- all I can do.

Aw, what a beautiful cat! I am keeping my fingers crossed that he has been taken in by a family somewhere and that he will make it back to you one day.

I hope so, too. We've had 2 snowstorms this week, and more coming. I don't know how he could survive if he was outside. Let's hope he's found safe harbor for now.

So sad. :( I hope Bingley is alive and just on a tour and will return soon. If not, that he's living happily with another family, also preferable to the alternative.

It is so sweet that Knightley misses his companion and I hope he gets along great with his new buddy. *hugs*

I like the thought of Bingley being on tour. He's got enough personality to put on a show!

Knightley is an excellent daddy cat, and looked after the younger Bingley when he would get into scrapes. I think he'll be a good daddy cat for this new buddy, after I get them introduced.
