My black cat Bingley disappeared two days before Thanksgiving, and has not returned. At first, I assumed he got caught in a garage; that's what had happened the last time he went missing for 24 hours. That was a bad day; I automatically assumed he'd been eaten by a coyote and felt just terrible. Then, 24 hours later exactly, I hear this jingle ( Read more... )

Thanks. I know you know how this feels. I'm just taking it one day at a time. *hugs back*

Awwww... I so hope your cat will come back! Cats can very well look after themselves for a long time, can't they? So maybe he has his own Thanksgiving somewhere, eating someone's leftovers from that day and not even thinking about coming home until every food is gone. Or someone keeps him at home, not knowing that you are looking for him already.

Keeping my fingers crossed that he will come back soon.

Thanks, Astrid. Yes, that's the best hope-- that some new family is spoiling him with treats and affection. I wish it were so. I sure would like him to come back, and hope he proves as hardy as you think he might.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear your dear companion has disappeared. It's a very stressful time. I join everyone else above in hoping he's been delayed somehow and will come jingling back to your door very soon. **hugs**

Yes, that little jingle bell on his collar is very distinctive. The little girls next door said, "Your cats are LOUD." :)

I am hoping that he's merely adventuring and will return to my door. He's a good friend. Thanks for the good wishes.
