I'm (hopefully) gonna be at a hostel is either huntington beach or santa monica for 4 nights then I'm driving up to san luis obispo after that for three nights.

Ay, ay. approx 4 hours. I have a friend in SLO, though and I've been planning to visit her. If I can work the dates out (I'm doing summer school), I can kill two birds with one stone, eh? When do you plan to be there? But I would definitely recomend checking out SF and Berkeley at some point in your lifetime.
