Question for all you ladies who wear satin shoes... How do you clean them? you can't just "wash" them, cause it's gonna ruin the shoes. what do you use?

actually, you do wash them, but by hand and with gentle soap - and very, very carefully. I think you can probably take them to a shoe repair place and see if they can do it, but I've always just used mild soap and a soft washcloth.

(I know I don't really know you, but hey, it's shoes, and that's important.)

hi - sorry, i don't know if the shoes thing is still an issue, but if it is: I think the drying lines depends partially on the quality of the satin. But it should be greatly lessened if you don't air dry them, but "pat dry" them. Are they dirty all over, or just in one spot? If it's all over, a shoe/dry cleaner's probably your best bet. If it's a spot thing - yeah, try hand-washing with mild soap and dry it as you go along, with a towel or something.

A good (re: big) drug store might also have specific satin-cleaner products. But I've used soap and a towel before and it's turned out ok.

Man, shoes are complicated. And no, sorry, not russian - or at least, not natively russian (it's possible i've attained russian-by-association status by now).
