I must be a bad Ukrainian.
I skip the vodka, put garlic into the bowl of borsch (and sometimes with sour cream), and eat bread whenever throughout, skipping the salt (although I must admit the salt sounds like a good addition).

1,3,2,4 (no salt on the bread) -- i think we all agree the vodka is first, then you have to chase the vodka with something pleasant: borsch, then you want to add the flavor of fresh garlic, and then neutralize everything with some fresh cherniy hl'eb. :) ...mmm. now i'm hungry!

These Ukrainians of yours are just fake Ukrainians ;), not only because their order is different, but because they forgot to include the most important ingredient of the process - SALO!!
