I feel like I need to knit. That that is the only thing that will end this inner rampage I'm having right now. But I have no clue as to what to knit

I crochet, and can identify with yarn woes! I made myself a hat, and am working on a scarf to go with it. I'm also cross-stitching Christmas stockings for my bro's two youngest kids, which has a deadline, so the scarf will have to wait.
I haven't looked into "good" wool yet, but I'm dissatisfied with synthetic yarn in a big way. I hope you find a way to satisfy your knitting urges and obstacles. I know how much it helps to keep your hands and mind busy with crafts. Good luck.
Thanks so much for your comment. I have found some cheaper sources of natural fibers (I can't wear or even cover myself with unnatural fibers any more because my body has so much trouble with temperature regulation. when i wear synthtics I just get super hot no matter what the temperature really is.)
Some sources for cheaper natural fibers are: knitpicks.com, although eveyone says the quality isn't fantastic, but for me, so far it's been fine. all i've used them for so far is a lace scarf and i liked their yarn for that.
also elann.com which has name brand sales as well as their own brand.
and www.yarn.com is the website for a fabulous store in mass. but they have a huge web business too. check their sales, they have good sales. but for non-sales they are not always the cheapest.
i am determined to make myself a hat. i started one yet again tonight. I really hope it turns out ok but in looks and fit.
thanks again for your comment. it's nice for me to hear about the lives of others.
OOOH! Thanks for the yarn links! I've yet to check them out, but I will do so soon. The one you mentioned in MA sounds interesting, since I live in MA, but I need to check out the site to see if it's close enough for a trip after the holidays. Thanks again.
Ohhh... I've been wanting to go to that store for a long time. It's supposed to be fabulous! And I can tell that it is from what's online. They also have a podcast.
the store itself is called WEBS although the address is www.yarn.com
I truly think about how much I want to visit that store all the time.
