Life never turns out the way you want it to

I got confirmation yesterday that my best friend throughout my childhood is/was addicted to heroin. I say is/was because he went to jail and rehab i guess, so maybe he kicked it? Basically this just sucks. How did this happen? How did his life get this way? Growing up he was always the smarter one, the better musician, the one that got the girls. ( Read more... )

how did it happen? chemicals. heroin is awesome. it doesn't care who you are or what you do. personality and temperament is no match for that shit. hopefully the rehab will help. if you lead a healthy lifestyle you may be able to be a good role model for him. having been through some of that shit i can say that you lose a lot of your friends once you get off your drug of choice. maybe you can help fill that void, provided it's not too taxing on you emotionally.

I'm sorry about your friend, but the important thing is he's in rehab. Life takes us to weird places.

Spanish blows. But I found flashcards helped me, when I was patient enough to make them.

I really really really really really really like that bet. Really. I wish I had read this earlier so I could have told you over the phone how much I like that bet.

what people portray aren't who they really are all the time. Addiction allows for chaos in your life while you are able to look as if nothing in the world could be wrong... just saying

my brother's taken Spanish there, two levels, i could hook u both up for some tutoring, He's really nice and prolly wouldnt mind...

yay engagied..... do it!!!!!!!

hey, man, don't let some retarded class that doesn't even apply to your major hold you back. Check out the tutoring available on campus, and if that doesn't do it for you, try to find a private tutor. Or just talk to the instructor, ask if s/he is teaching the next level up class and if one of those students could tutor you. Bonus that another one of her/his students would understand the teaching style.

I have a lot of frustrations with school myself, and retarded shit like this- difficult classes that shouldn't be difficult- really pisses me off.
