While waiting to be transported for surgery I must have asked the Nurses about ten times if they were going to give me drugs before entering the O.R. I needed drugs to calm down. I wasn't even that nervous. But unlike when I had heart surgery, they gave me the anesthesia at the last possible minute. I had to lay there on that cold operating table, ( Read more... )

With a little shock, bright eyes and a small laugh Dr. Bower's replied,
"Haaha yes, it's surgery on your pecker."

Ahhhhhhhh! That didn't help. But I was then told that I would be given meds before entering the operating room, BE ASLEEP during the procedure and given anesthesia for pain after i'm asleep.
