I am sore, subject to a myriad little aches, but elated. It is hard for me to explain how important Rattus is to me, how much he gives me every time I bring him to life. By this time tomorrow, I expect I will have finished my 1.5km march in Rattus for the Million Paws Walk. Though I've done a walk of that length in fursuit before for Mardi Gras, it's not an easy trek and much will depend on Brisbane's weather (hope for a nice cool day!). Walk your way to wellness!
These long walks I've been doing are starting to pay off. I still have my belly (popular among some furries so I don't mind) but long walks now don't seem nearly so long to me and I don't end up winded. I suppose I should work on extending my range now. Got to get in shape for the Million Paws Walk, not to mention FurDU where Rattus will be shaking ( Read more... ) -
Rattus begs
A super model once quipped that she wouldn't get out of bed for less than $10 000 a day. You'll be pleased to hear that Rattus is much cheaper than that (ahem!) but when I go out on the Million Paws Walk in Rattus I will be giving my sweat and tears (I hope not to bleed during the march) for our four-legged friends and I want it to be worthwhile. While I was out in the city attending to errands, I had cause to muse on just how far we have progressed with the internet. Friend looking for a room at FCN
My friend Dyandod is looking for a room for FCN. He shared our room at MFF for several hours and I can vouch for him being a star roommate during that time--he even left us food! He also has a cute rat suit named Timothy and is a talented artist so if you have room please consider dropping him a line on his FA page. He will of course share costs. -
Best Mardi Gras ever!
Once again I had a great time at Mardi Gras. I was determined not to let being unemployed make me miss it; I have been every year since 2005 (even in 2011, when there was no furry float) and I'm superstitious about missing a year now.
