Crappy Valentine's Day everyone!

I'm spending the evening making business cards for my boyfriend and then eating shepherd's pie with his parents. Is anyone doing anything sadder than that?

At least the other man in my life, my boss, got me a rose.

I got you beat honey. Last night my boyfriend told me he didn't want to come over for the dinner I was making him. I told him we were through! I'm done putting forth effort on someone who doesn't care about me. At one point he even admitted that he probably wouldn't notice if I didn't call him for 5 days. Can we say asshole??? So, the sad part (if that all wasn't sad enough)...I'm making the whole dinner for myself...and I don't even eat!

If only men weren't so insensitive. :) Of all the men I know, only two have put any effort into Valentine's Day. Even though I know it's a dumb made up holiday and I think it's kind of stupid to buy gifts or whatever for someone just because you feel you have to, it still sucks. Hang in there. Only about 8 hours left until Feb 15 (in my time zone anyway).

I'm going to sit here and chat with people over IM all evening. ;) But I'm actually quite content with that, so it's cool. I helped my brother make a really nice dinner for his girlfriend, and he let me eat some of it and gave me a glass of wine, so I'm just sitting here sipping it and enjoying my friends page.
