"You don't have to try to lie to me," Axel laughed, running a finger lightly over one of the scratches. Truth be told, he was overwhelming happy just to have Lex there and in one piece. "Well, if your family was here, I'm sure they would take care of that dinosaur."
He uncapped the bottle, drinking from it and handing it back to the brunette. "I'm sorry for this. I'm sure I taste really nasty, but..." And he planted a kiss on Lex's lips, holding them that way for a minute before pulling back. "Better."
The ice age eventually took care of that. Lexaeus thought. He shook his head, wishing that Axel would stop joking that his family was part of some Russian mafia. He was aware that the red head was kidding though. If he truely was part of a mafia, then Axel was lucky that Lexaeus had some sense of humor.
Lexaeus planned to kiss Axel upon their meeting, but it looks like the other beat him to it. He pulled away slowly, "I've tasted worse," and kissed him again.
Axel was surprised, but pleasantly so. He wound his arms around Lexaeus' neck, pulling him closer and tracing his lips with his tongue. He didn't think he'd tasted anything so good in days, and he didn't think anything could've given him as much hope.
Reluctantly, he pulled back when the cave shook again, eyes closed as he waited for it to pass. Of all the eras of time they had to be stuck in.
Lexaeus held Axel close when he felt the shaking. When the quake finally passed, he loosened his hood. "Maybe we should go somewhere else, we might get caved in."
Then he remembered the little dinosaur that probably remembered his face when he smashed it with a rock.
"Erm, maybe not. But at least I got these tic-tacs to sustain our hunger." He pulled out a small box, "Take one."
"I doubt it. It does that all the time and I haven't been buried under a ton of rock yet." Once the quaking stopped, Axel snickered, taking one and popping it in to his mouth. What hunger would that be? "I told you I tasted bad, big guy. Shoulda believed me."
The redhead took Lex's hand, pulling him in the direction of the fire. He leaned up against the wall near it, slowly sinking to the floor and sighing. "See anyone else out there or is everyone dead?"
