At about 11:30 last night I learned that John died on saturday. I began to cry and made excuses for why I was crying. I've been listening to Tom Waits a lot recently. I really like him; I think it's partly because he reminds me of my dad and I love my dad. He always quotes Tom Waits at the most appropriate times which for him is about every hour or two. Although it's reasonably cold outside tonight, the lunar eclipse was really beautiful. I went up on top of the business school, and sat on the roof for about two hours. It was really nice and peaceful because there were few enough lights that I was able to see all the colors in the moon that people in lighter areas did not see. I also saw the ( Read more... )

I think that this might have been the last sunrise I will be able to watch this year. It's getting a little bit too cold to be enjoyable.
