On The Road

I've now been out of the hospital as long as I was in -- one-week. I still feel as though my batteries are a bit on the flat side, but I'm doing noticeably better every day. The doctors are saying it'll be another 3-weeks before I can expect to be back to normal -- whatever that equates to. I've also managed to replace 11 of the 40-pounds I lost ( Read more... )

'Pneumonia' is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot, but I don't honestly believe people understand what a powerful and dangerous thing it can be.

And no worries about being caught up with my dramas or not. Either way, I appreciate the well-wishes! :)

*hugs*

Nobody would want it once they got into it, though! And I'm still having a bit of an odd time with how food tastes. Everything seems cranked up on either the salty, spicy, or sweet. I rarely taste the actual food itself -- though, it is getting better as time goes by!

I feel a bit more like Hellboy after he's had the stuffing knocked out of him. I think my chapter would be entitled, 'The Right Lung of Doom'.

Now I just need to figure out a way to follow my doctor's instructions, "Take it easy, but be sure to get some exercise". If I'd had any strength at the time, he might have been in trouble!

"The Right Lung of Doom" LOL!

Being all about the lungs myself, I can say that exercise, especially, inversions, really help. If you can't knock off a handstand, Downward Dog and any other postion you can get into really helps clear the lungs. Also take it easy.

I unfortunately have all the grace of a load of laundry when it comes to being 'inverted'. I have been surprisingly 'productive' though, whenever I have a coughing attack. The breakup is obviously happening, though I still sound horrible...

Kris is planning on finally hosting a Saturday gaming this week. Will you be there, or are you up to your little eyeballs with work?
