Wait WHAT!? I'm coming in on this late I think. I didn't know your niece needed a lung transplant let alone a second transplant!!!! How old is your niece? What is the process for waiting for lungs? At Froedtert I hear stuff about liver (obviously), heart and kidney transplants but very little about lung transplant.
I am so glad she is holding her own. What a strong person she must be to go through this twice. Your sister must have gone through hell too.

Same as any other xplant. She is a strong-headed person, that is to be sure! Niece is from Brother-In-Laws first marriage, not a blood-neice, Sister still did have a good bit of stress and so did BIL, but since Dad was a surgeon we have a bit more understanding of the processes and issues than the rest of the family, which helps.
