[If you're anywhere outside or looking out your window at all, you'll spot Martel... With one noticeable difference: Overshadowing her feathered pair is a pair of forest-green wings of the glowing variety (much like those her brother had, back in Aselia). She's flying overhead from the direction of the mountains

[It's all too easy for Clark to see her flying in long before she reaches the village. Super vision helps with things like that.

One wouldn't know it, though, when she comes flying down near the fountain and he's just so coincidentally walking into the general area. His blink of surprise and little startled jump when she comes in from above is quite convincing... at least if you ignore the fact that he managed to not spill a drop of the cup of coffee he's carrying.]

[She looks up at who spoke. Though she looks pretty tired and a little dazed, she's much less dead than before.]

Clark. [Dignity time, let's have Martel put a hand on the edge of the fountain and pull herself up off the ground to sit on the fountain wall.]

[As she starts to pull herself up, Clark begins to walk over to her, his expression turning into his usual pleasant, disarming smile.]

It's good to have you back. [He sips at his coffee and settles down next to her, but not too close, on the fountain.

Say, is that a thermos clipped to his belt? Indeed it is! And he's unclipping it and holding it out to her.] Tea? You look like you could use some.

[She looks at it in slight bemusement, then laughs once, gently.] Do you always carry a thermos about?

[Rasler has been wandering around the town most of the day, taking in the sights and sounds while he can. He stumbles across Martel landing in the fountain. He's aware of what happened to her, but is not sure on how to approach her as they have only spoken once. So he stands back and watches from afar. ]

Miss?

[Not in the fountain, just next to it. She has better aim than that. ;D

She'll be looking up to see who spoke. Familiar, but not one of her closer friends. Still, tired and somewhat dazed though she was, it was her job as the manager of the Welcome Center to know people and act friendly. Not that she wished to do otherwise.]

Rasler.

[Aha, she remembered! She's a little slow though, bear with her?]

[ He hesitates then gets closer to her, still keeping his distance.]

Yes? [He knows what happened to her but has not clue how to approach the subject, and besides the dead don't come back alive do they? So he asks.] If I may ask, what happened?

There was... a mishap in the desert. [If you press her, she'll tell you more willingly enough. She just isn't sure quite how much you want to know.]

[Rydia's passing by the fountain, with a couple of bags of supplies, when Martel's flying form causes her to halt suddenly. She nearly drops those bags, less at Martel's return than the manner of it.]

...Martel!

[martelandmany]

[She'll look up at Rydia's voice for sure, and offer a tired smile.] I hope I'm not interrupting. [Normally if she said this she'd be teasing, but she looks just a little bit too dazed for that to count now. She's still coherent, but slightly off.]

[Rydia shakes her head immediately, setting the bags down. A smile quickly forms, as does her concern upon getting a better look at Martel.]

Not at all! I heard--I'm glad to see you've returned. Do you want help?

[martelandmany]

Who else had heard? [She hoped it wasn't too widespread.] And... Yes, I think help would be nice.

[Action]

[martelandmany]

[She hears Ted's voice as she's dropping, and looks up to figure out where he is. He sounded worried... She hopes he wasn't too worried. If he was, she'd take him back to the apartment and feed him something to make up for it. Ted always liked that.

However, she's too tired and he's too far off for her to say anything in greeting yet. She doesn't bother putting the wings away, not quite processing that they're still out and are a spectacle. She looks coherent, but slightly off, dazed.]

[Action]

I... had a bit of an incident in the desert. I'm fine though, don't look so concerned.

[That woman... has wings. Shiny, glowing wings that aren't like the ones everyone else has. More importantly, she looks somewhat out of it, which prompts a question:]

Are you all right?

[martelandmany]

[What. A stranger? She looks up, looks him over a second to make positive she doesn't know him, then picks herself up carefully to sit on the edge of the fountain, offering a slight smile.] Much better now.

Indeed... I'd say it was a trying week, but I'm not entirely sure if that's true. [Alright, so he's free to not have any clue what she means. She's a little out of it.]
