That might sound snobbish of me, but I think Ladurée macarons are overrated. They just benefit from their efficient marketting strategies and their "French touch" to attract potential customers. I fell for it at first, but the more it goes, the more expensive they get while their quality is not improving. Pierre Hermé macarons are better in my opinion.

I was also thinking you can reuse the Holly Hobby applique by making it into a brooch with some scrap lace or chiffon..
