I miss you Seema. I really hope you feel better soon - I totally agree with your mom, that it's just a "thing". I realize that the pictures and so forth have a lot of value to you, but you still have the memories of the actual trip (be glad you don't have Alzheimer's!).
Okay, I'm going to say this, and I want you not to freak out. You are depressed. This is textbook depression. Lack of motivation, over-identifying with all of the pain in the world, excessive worrying, paranoia, significant feelings of guilt, changes in sleep habits. These symptoms, if they last for more than a few weeks, are hugely indicative of depression. I don't know how good your health insurance is, but if you can get in to a psychiatrist, that would probably help you

just throwing this in - if by any chance you are taking birth control pills: please stop! It can be a bigger contributor to metal health than you realize.

You say you've been feeling down for over a month now? It might be time to see a doctor or a counselor, but I suspect you already know this.
