This time of year was nice, not too crowded, although there were plenty of tourists! And cooler than summer, so that is pleasant if you don't mind wearing a light jacket.

i hope you are having/had a "nice" flight...ohm, btw...the cicada is one of the most poetic bugs there is in my mind...how it stays "dorment" all those years, just to flourish for that short moment...beautiful

Yes, it is an amazing insect! Another couple of months, and I will start to hear them around my home!

Bah cicadas! I thought I was done with them for 17 years! Not that I hate the little buggers... I honestly thought they were fascinating... but we couldn't even open our doors/windows or sit outside because they were deafening! It's cool that they're good luck in Nice. People here in the Chicago weren't so happy about them.

You would have laughed at all the cicada things for sale!
