Rainy Saturday, With Some Fun

Today is rainy but warm, and Sally and I went to a friend's daughter's Bat Mitzvah this morning. The synagogue is a few blocks from our house, so Sally and I walked over (it was just lightly drizzling). The Reformed rabbi was very good, very open minded and very well read. Came away with some positive thoughts and insights, which is always nice

Religion handled well can be very positive when it is tolerant, open minded, open to questions, and concerned for the well-being of all humanity.

I very much enjoy hearing about what other people believe--it's just a matter of their attitude, mostly. And so I very much agree. Is most nice when you can make some kind of connection, based on a mutual kind of respect.
