And now for something completely different:plumforgotAugust 25 2006, 05:50:25 UTC
Did you miss how he was like STFU LMAO NO at her for the entire book, and only relented when she confronted him about it in front of a huge group of people? Nothing about his body-language in that scene suggests anything other than awkwardness. There's not even any evidence that he was "struggling with himself" or something when pushing her away. He was just tense and dispassionate.

Hmm, I always got the Simon/Kaylee as an entirely different sort of awkwardness, coming from the fact that they are interested in each other but don't know wtf to do with that interest.

Well, if you like Simon/Kaylee then really nothing I can say about their relationship would change your mind, but for me it's quite one-sided and shallow at best. Kaylee's obviously interested in Simon, but the interest seems to be more in what she thinks Simon should be and less what Simon actually is (she gets mad at him constantly for not being smooth and romantical with her), and Simon only turns to Kaylee and says he wants her when it looks like they're about to die, in which case I'd be like, "God, we should have had sex!" to whoever was next to me, too. I could go on about it, but :)) I'll spare miss Katie's journal!
WORD on the Draco being clever and snarky thing. Someone, i can't remember who, wrote a brilliant rant once on how Draco is nothing near sophistocated and articulate in the books. He's a whiny drama queen who pouts when he doesn't get his way and makes a big deal about every tiny little thing! And yeah, his insults suck. Although, "weasley is our king" wasn't half bad, as insult-songs go
