New Manip - Spike

Manipped the cover from Spike: Old Times onto a Hellblazer background (I don't know the names of the original artists) and added some wording in an attempt to give it the look of a comic/graphic novel cover. A different style, and fun at that. :-)

ETA: Knowledgeable members of my flist have come through! Artist of Spike: Old Times is Frank ( Read more... )

Oh, I adore that one! So, so perfect for him. I don't suppose you'd make it big enough for wallpaper?

:-) Glad you like!

If I get some time this weekend, I'll try to create something around it that will give it a wallpaper shape.

I kind of suck at composition and I didn't have a lot of time, but would this work?

That's lovely. I like the background so much better than the simple brick wall.

The cover artist is Tim Bradstreet, btw.

Okay, this is *gorgeous* & I'm in love with the style & feel of it. Very James Dean, Futuresque, & all Spike. *waggles brows*

I haven't been a very good commenter, but I've really been enjoying your recent shares (& I *love* your new signature on the pieces--very artful!)

:-) Glad you like this one (and some of the others I've done recently). I wish there were more cmoic style Spike heads to work with - it would be fun to do more in this style.

It was kind of fun to work with some of the comic stuff. I wish there was more good Spike comic pics to work with - I think I'd enjoy it.

*wonders if can successfully make a photo take on believeable comic book style*

Thank you!

Hee! There's a tiny bit of Spuffy left in you - admit it! :-)

Glad you like this one, tho I must give much credit to the original artists for giving me such great bases to work with. On this particular piece, I really didn't do all that much. In fact, most of my time was spent matching the face coloring. (Naturally, it has proved much more popular than pieces I've spent a couple of days on. Figures.) *snort*

I saw in one of your journal entries that you're taking Dreamweaver classes! I'm supposed to be learning DW for work this year. If you run across any good online classes or tutorials, please pass them on!
