It's all become "If you see this post you're invited"
rather than a call or even text.
Seems so heartless.
Have we all become so insecure

From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Engine's started, listen to it purr.
That anxious build upon build after you turned the key.
& all you can do it wait to hear the stutter that says "I'm ready, shift into gear."

Ease off the brakes and cruise slowly..
Ride it out.
Don't move too fast or you'll fall.
Watch the potholes, mind the red lights, obey traffic signs.
