Yeah, if it had omitted the gross older guys and the incest and the creepy dead-parent-hatred, or if it had kept those things but they had been played for laughs, it actually could have been decent enough to escape sporking (I mean, the author can spell and everything!).

I assume it's related to the word amethyst, perhaps a reference to the purple streaks in her hair? I think "Amethystte" could use another vowel, though. That long string of unbroken consonants looks intimidating.
