I spent the day today trying to get rid of some toxic hazardous waste. It was brown and stinky, and I didn't want it in my lab anymore. Apparently nobody else wanted it either, because I tried to dispose of it, and each department I went to kept telling me to give it to someone else. On Monday morning I get to start my work in the tank room, feeding and caring for the animals. This is great. Not only will I be working on a project to help feed people in Haiti this summer, I'll also get to learn about/care for horseshoe crabs, squid, dogfish, and many others. So here I am in my room in Mashpee, pilfering someone's internet (thank you, whoever you are) and unpacking. The house I am staying in had no internet officially, so my computer use over the summer may be very patchy. Hopefully I'll be able to get this signal on a regular basis, but who knows? So my birthday ended up being pretty good after all. I spent the day talking about my internship, playing Boggle with Grandmama, sitting out in the GORGEOUS sunlight, and eating good food for Passover. I got some pretty neat gifts as well.
