Notes: So scifishipper left 'Laura/Tom he did save her after all!' as a prompt over at kink, and while it didn't really get to a 'post at kink story' stage, it did give me this.

Ooh. I like it. Love Tom's POV, how he can admit to himself it was actually Laura who saved them, but still take the credit if it serves him in the moment. Way to work in that early bit from the mini. I typically forget about that detail, but it really works as a neat backdrop of their potential relationship.

Love how she leaves him shocked. That's my Laura. ♥

One of the other fun details is that there's considerably less prisoners on the AQ then when it gets mentioned again in Bastille Day -laugh-

There's so many fun things that can be drawn on for the two of them.
Kicking him off balance helps her stay ahead.

I do love a Tom that is human and slightly off-balance, especially around Laura! Well done in reminding us what a powerful moment that was, when as far as they knew, they were going to die together.

Tom is definitely human- you know, I think my favorite part about this piece is the fact I decided he should be wearing glasses? I just find it a really interesting image for some reason.

Fantastic Laura/Tom here. Laura certainly has the upper hand. I love the way you've played with their positions physically and the changing dynamics of the power play throughout. Clever girl! =D

The physical position was fun- while writing I was trying to wrack my brain if I've ever seen/read a M/F kiss where the woman is in the taller position with the guy clutching at her shoulders. I don't think I have and now I want more of it.
