I believe you're the cook, right? I hope you won't find it to be too much trouble to fix our foods without any dairy products. I'm sure there are some great, healthy dishes that you can fix without the use of milk!

Just a week or so; a month at the very most.

If you're on a ship as well, then hopefully they will follow my example. Ice cream is nice to have, but staying alive is a much better option!

Calcium-filled, hm? That will certainly be a benefit to some of our more fragile crew members. Calcium is also good for growing bodies, am I right? Helps with skeletal growth and all that?

Of course! It will only make the situation worse by getting angry about it. We need to focus on the positives! I just hope that more will be as understanding about this as you seem to be.

What's the saying? No use crying over spilt milk? A lack of dairy for a few weeks won't kill us, I'm sure. In fact it should give way to some interesting dietry substitutions. I applaud you for your dillegence and care towards the crew, Chichiri.

You and Shinjiro seem to be friends. I don't mean to be too forward or rude, but could you perhaps help Shinjiro in the kitchen if he needs it. I would hate for him to be burdened by this, and I'm pretty sure my presence would only make matters worse.

This is exactly the kind of thing I had feared would happen. I supported public action, but made a specific point that all protests should be peaceful.

I only hope these are just rumors and no one gets hurt. The demihumans who are being wronged will only lose the support of the public if they turn to violent means. The government will not back down because of a few civilian deaths. They will probably only remove more rights.

We can say what we want, but given the demihuman population, someone was bound to do something idiotic, just the same as that many humans without a clear leader would.

I was hoping the retaliation wasn't inevitable, and I would hate to blame the demihumans for something they didn't even do. At the same time, it's always best to be cautious when you know an action like this is certain, which is why I felt obligated to take some drastic measures after hearing a few rumors.
